Getting Started with OrderMe: A Complete Guide
Whether you're looking to increase your average order value, build a loyalty program, or get smarter about inventory, OrderMe has an app for you. This guide walks you through getting started with each of our three Shopify apps.
Which App Should You Start With?
Each OrderMe app solves a different problem. Here's a quick guide to help you decide:
- Cart Upsell is for you if you want to increase your average order value. It shows smart product recommendations in a customizable cart drawer right when customers are ready to buy.
- Loyalty Rewards is for you if you want to turn one-time buyers into repeat customers. It creates a points-based program where customers earn and redeem rewards.
- Restock Intelligence is for you if you struggle with inventory management. It forecasts demand, manages supplier orders, and tracks pre-orders.
You can use one, two, or all three. They work independently but complement each other nicely.
Setting Up Cart Upsell
Cart Upsell is the quickest to set up and can start generating results immediately.
Step 1: Install and Enable
After installing from the Shopify App Store, the setup wizard walks you through enabling the cart drawer on your theme. This replaces your theme's default cart page with a sleek slide-out drawer.
Step 2: Choose Your Recommendations
You have two options for product recommendations — both available on every plan, including Free:
- AI recommendations automatically suggest products based on what's already in the cart
- Featured products let you manually choose which products to promote
Step 3: Customize the Look
Match the cart drawer to your brand. Choose colors, adjust the layout, and add custom CSS. All customization features are available on every plan.
Step 4: Monitor Results
The analytics dashboard shows you views, clicks, and conversions in real time. Track exactly how much additional revenue your upsells generate.
Setting Up Loyalty Rewards
A loyalty program takes a bit more thought upfront, but the setup wizard makes it straightforward.
Step 1: Configure Earning Rules
Decide how many points customers earn per dollar spent. A common starting point is 1 point per dollar. You can also enable signup bonuses and birthday rewards to boost engagement.
Step 2: Create Rewards
Set up the rewards customers can redeem their points for. All reward types are available on every plan:
- Percentage discounts (e.g., 10% off for 500 points)
- Fixed amount discounts (e.g., $5 off for 250 points)
- Free shipping
- Free products
Step 3: Launch the Storefront Widget
A floating rewards panel appears on your storefront, letting customers check their points balance, see how to earn, and redeem rewards — all without leaving the page they're on. It can be fully customized to match your brand.
Setting Up Restock Intelligence
Restock Intelligence works best once it has some sales history to analyze, but you can start getting value from day one.
Step 1: Configure Your Settings
Set up your default lead times and safety stock levels. These help the app calculate when you need to reorder.
Step 2: Add Your Suppliers
Add the suppliers you order from, including their typical lead times. The app uses this information to time restock suggestions correctly.
Step 3: Review Your Stock Position
The stock position dashboard gives you a complete picture: inventory on hand, incoming orders, committed pre-orders, and what's actually available to sell.
Step 4: Act on Suggestions
As the app learns your sales patterns, it generates restock suggestions. These tell you what to order, how much, and when — based on your actual demand and supplier lead times. You can create purchase orders directly from suggestions and send them to suppliers by email, or export as PDF or CSV.
Free Tier: The Best Way to Start
Every OrderMe app has a generous free tier with all features included — up to 100 orders per month with no credit card required and no time limit. Plans differ only by order volume, not features, so you get the full experience from day one. Upgrade when you need more capacity.
